The rubber or foam inserts are very effective in blocking sound. I frequently take walks near a highway with semi trucks and other noisy traffic and I can comfortably listen to podcasts while doing so. I've previously unsuccessfully tried several brands looking for sound blocking capability. Several years ago there was a brand, Blockade, that were effective and very similar but they've been discontinued and they were exorbitant. The rubber and foam inserts are removable from the speaker of the plugs and earwax is easily cleaned by rinsing in hot tap water. I'm no audiophile and primarily listen to podcasts but I do find the sound quality very good. I'm had no endurance or quality problems with these after a few months. I'm purchasing a spare pair today.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love these!!!
I never liked headphones before. My ear holes were too small or something. These are such a blessing for work, as I'm running errands, or even while I garden! I get to create my own little vibe without encroaching on anyone else's ears lol. Gratzy

5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality for less cost
They fit properly with changeable ear pieces, and being they look & wear like regular ear plugs at work.Awesome

I work in construction as a Pipefitter/Plumber. I work around Sheetrockers and Sheetmetal workers. It's so loud sometimes it makes me want wish I had an office job...*cringe*...then I remember these little beauties are hanging around my neck just waiting for me to put them to work too. Noise cancelling; check. Music; check. Calls; check. I've had several expensive string-type ear buds that have fallen off and gotten destroyed within days of me buying them...then I found these babies. Thank you Amazon for bringing these into my life!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for work
When they're fully charged they last me a full 8+ hour shift and still have a little charge to start the next day. They take about 30-40 minutes to fully charge. They stay in my ears well. My only complaint is how long the wire is connecting both ear buds.

4.0 out of 5 stars good but not great
I bought these so I could listen to music, etc. while shredding, plowing, and planting. They keep out enough sound to allow that while the tractor is idling, but once I crank up and go the tractor noise increases to the point that I would have to BLAST the music to hear it and I don't want to blow out my hearing. I'm going to try wearing earmuffs over these and see if that works. I would say for the use I intended, these are good but not great.

4.0 out of 5 stars They stay in when you put your helmet on.
Great, I use it on the motorbike. The cords are a little too long for me.

I needed ear protection for mowing the lawn and these sound protecting ear buds are perfect, even for my small ear canals. Soft material is easy to push in and remove. Easy to clean if needed. I recommend these for hearing protection and provide acceptable speaker performance as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars These things are great
These things have saved me from boredom at work. I stand at a machine all day with very few people around and having these and being able to listen to my music is awesome! I highly recommend these to anyone needing something to do while you're working in a plant. The noise cancellation is great so if you work in a place with forklifts I suggest lowering the volume while you're walking about, almost had a run in with one cuz my music was too loud. No one was hurt though and it wasn't that close of a call.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for under motorcycle helmets.
The perfect headset for motorcycling. Fits great under the helmet. I can operate the controls with gloves on.The sound is better than most other in ear headsets. Noise cancelling is more than adequate, and comes with spare plugs, and has different types to buy separately that completely blocks out ambient noise. There is a corded version for those who don't want to spend the bluetooth money, and they are the best bang for the buck.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Worth The Money
I had reservations about spending the money on earphones. Conveniently, they arrived a few days before the blizzard that just hit the Northeast. They worked great while I was using my snowblower and I was able to actually hear my music over the machine which was a nice change of pace from my current buds. The sound quality is outstanding in my opinion. Final note; I always have had a hard time with ear buds staying in my ear. My left ear, for whatever reason, the bud has always fallen out. Not with these which alone is worth the price. Absolutely would purchase again!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works As Advertised
I use this at work, during those long and lonely shifts at the warehouse. We are not required to wear earplugs but are forbidden from carrying a phone. I run the cord inside my shirt and a small hole in my pocket allows me to completely hide the fact that these are actually headphones. I have a sandisk mp3 player loaded with audiobooks and these work great. I have had them for over a month and not a single issue. I see some feedback saying they break or one ear goes out over a short period of time, but this hasn't been a problem for me. Perhaps because I am not constantly checking my player or removing the cord from the player on a regular basis. I am very satisfied with these and will repurchase when they do break. Worth every penny!

4.0 out of 5 stars Look just like earplugs!
Looks just like earplugs. They have good sound. I work in a factory and they are perfect for on job earplugs/buds.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love
Absolutely love these. They cancel out so much outer noise and they don’t hurt my ears. Only downfall for me is the cord is super long.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great item
Used at work. Held up good for 3 months Under constant abuse.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great idea for motorcycling, significant drawbacks
Finding these were a game changer for motorcycling. I ride daily and need ear protection, but like music as well. I got the original basic version 3 years ago and wear them every day. However, there are some significant issues that leave me searching for a better option: - first of all, with the silicone tips, these sound like absolute garbage, and barely block out any noise. Then, with the spiral foam tips, they are kind of better. When they shine, though, is with the OG, FULL SIZE foam tips that for some stupid reason Plugfones stopped making. Maybe I have wide ear canals, but these are literally the ONLY tips that make these headphones work. Absolute trash without them. PLEASE BRING THESE TIPS BACK. I got a replacement 5 pack a couple years ago and have been carefully working my way though them (the deteriorate after a year). Once they are worn out, I will literally just throw these headphones away - they are the only thing that makes them work well. - Second, they do break after awhile. I treat mine well, but after <1, each of my 3 pairs has stopped working. Not a huge deal, I buy another set since it's worth it to me - third, and this has become a huge issue: the volume adjuster has a mind of its own. It will frequently randomly turn my volume all the way up, or down. Ive had this happen on different phones, and with iphone dongles. THis is not from accidentally pressing the volume buttons. It's something internal causing this. I will have to buy another set of the basic version to avoid this, my current pair has become unusable now. That being said, when these things have the better foam, and aren't acting up, or breaking.. they are the best purchase I've ever made for my motorcycle gear. Makes riding infinitely more enjoyable.

These are awesome. If you have a job that requires you to wear ear plugs but you want to listen to music or whatever. This is it. After 6 months in a brutal environment they still work great. The sound quality is not horrible. It lacks bass mostly. Otherwise it's loud enough to hear over loud machines. The battery life is absolutely incredible. Everyday I get 10 straight hours from a charge. If your looking for sound quality then go buy a $200 Bose or Sony headset. If your trying to enjoy yourself while following rules at work then this is it. Highly recommend.

4.0 out of 5 stars LOVE EM
Absolutely love these. I where every day for almost 2 years now in a fab shop where headphones are not welcome. I do miss the old foam contractor orange replacements though. I am on my 3rd set so they do where out. However I use these at least 5 days/week 7 hours each day so they take a beating. I will continues to buy this product. Don’t know what I’d do without them

This is a good set of earphones for working in areas where earplugs are required. I wear mine at my desk and pair it with my phone. When I am in the production areas, no phone, I already have these available foe hearing protection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth it. If you want music at work, do it
So i read some of the review's befor buying, some people seem to think that they are buying something with the quality of 200 dollar ear buds and compare them to that price point? Are they beats? No. Do they block out sound? Yes! Do they sound like normal earbuds you can pick up for 20 bucks? Yep! Do they work good on the job in a loud environment? Yes! Do they look and feel like ear pulgs?( for those that are trying to hide the fact that your at work with ear buds in) yep! Are they worth the like 19 dollars? Defiantly! Pros: Work good Sound good Look like normal ear plugs Cheap Cons: Arnt Bluetooth - but thats an easy fix with a small Bluetooth receiver.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great but need instructions
I have to do yard work which includes a chainsaw. It is much trial and error with these as there are no instructions provided. Once the are figured out they are amazing. To the manufacturer: PLEASE PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love these
I have been using these for about 6 months maybe one day a week and they are still working great. I recommend the following: A cord clip so the wire clips to the back collar of my undershirt. This is important so there is always some slack so your head can turn without pulling on the wire. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BSH86Y6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This MP3 player is tiny and runs for a 12 hour shift. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D3QPN3Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Sanitizing wipes to clean the ear plugs. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01633Y242/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o05_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

5.0 out of 5 stars Filters out noise like it's not even there.
Simply amazing! I use these at work in a call center environment to do customer chats/e-mail style work. This blocks out the noise of people talking in the room completely. I cannot hear the person next to me talking if I have these in and my music on medium-low volume. This has been an absolute life saver in terms of helping me stay focused. For the people who have a defective ear bud - I was ready to blow up today thinking I also had the issue. I only had the faintest sound out of the right side if I cranked the volume up to max. It turns out the little cavity inside the foam gets bits of the foam and wax inside. I made an improvised cleaning tool with a post-it note folded around in a pointed shape. I pushed this in the plastic opening and gave it a few gentle twists. Bingo. Volume back to normal. I'm willing to bet a lot of the sudden ear bud death issues are due to this where the bud isn't actually dead. The plastic hole is so tiny that it is easily blocked if not cleaned.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very discreet!
These things are awesome. The running joke in the shop is, don't tell anyone about them so no one finds out they aren't, "ear plugs." Pro's Discreet, we have these blue/yellow ear plugs at work. And it's pretty noisy usually. They are instantly disregarded as normal earplugs. They reduce outside noise level Con's The foam plugs that come with them are a bit too big and get dirty easy The sound is "ok" The cord is a bit short for having to run the wire all the way to my phone in my pocket. If I turn too far with my neck they usually pull out of my ear. Go ahead and get silicone replacement plugs. It's just a matter of time before the foam ones get dirty.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for the Riding Mower and Weed Eater.
These are perfect for yard work. Totally block out the motor noise and stay in your ears comfortably. The sound is pretty good but does distort at higher volumes but they stay put all day. All the other Bluetooth earbuds I have tried are frustrating because I have to stop and put them back in my ear or, they don't block the ambient noise. They are a little pricey but the battery will last all day. They will also drowned out the annoying coworker that won't stop talking.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very nice
I have used wired Plugphones for years and really like the sound for the compact fit. I use them inside a motorcycle helmet. The plugs reduce the ambient sound so well that I typically play music at the lowest volume. I got these wireless ones for use in the yard. Tested them out and sound is as good as the wired ones. The battery and controls parts that are attached via the cord are noticeable when compared to wires only. I did notice some interference from the electric leaf blower I was using. It is a pretty powerful blower with variable speed. I would think these would work great for any outdoor work. I will experiment with how I locate the cord around my neck to see about minimizing any interference.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome. period.
Blocks out noise like ear plugs, and work like decent ear buds. The package came with a ribbed plastic earplug and a foam set. I drill concrete a lot, and these plugs both protect my hearing, and let me keep in my musical zone. They look professional when you're working, and they're a great alternative to "power boxes" when you're on a site that doesn't allow worksite wide music. The plugs failed at about 5 months, the manufacturer sent me a new set without question. Plugfones are legit as hell.

5.0 out of 5 stars Husband LOVES
My husband has to wear ear plugs at work, we found these and he absolutely LOVES them. Said the quality of the speakers are great, while also being totally noise canceling.

I used these under my helmet during a recent cross-country motorcycle trip, and I am very pleased. They do muffle a fair amount of noise, and the audio quality is good, with a healthy amount of bass while also not sounding tinny on the other end of the spectrum. The cord is long, and I appreciated that the headphones have a piece to cinch the cords closer together. Also included is a “cord tamer” and a surprisingly useful carrying case. Finally, I got caught in the rain while wearing these which turned out to be a positive experience because it made the ear pieces more pliable, providing a better fit.

4.0 out of 5 stars The experience of true happiness, and the disappointment to follow.
Absolutely fabulous. This product, with it's discrete, earplug-like appearance, has assisted me in maintaining my sanity at the overwhelming, laborious, monotonous factory job.-In which I unfortunately spend anywhere from 50-70 hours each week, often going without a day off for many fortnights. Thanks to this product, I am now able to stimulate my brain with important information via 'NPR' podcasts, fill my heart with laughter from the greatest comedians, and most importantly, fuel my soul with the power of music. As for the product itself, I am happy to report that the quality of the headphones has been beyond satisfactory. I have had this product for roughly 6 weeks, and have inadvertently ripped the auxiliary from my phone in the roughest of fashions many a time without compromising the wires/causing a short. As a musician I have been through headphones quicker than underpants, and these have outlived every set of earbuds. My only complaint is that the foam plugs collect dirt quicker than a colony of ants devour a gumdrop. This almost destroyed me. The bright yellow plastic piece on the inside, flush against the dirt encrusted foam, could have easily blown my plug disguise in an instant if someone had paid remote attention to my ears. Thank goodness no one did such a thing! Once I returned to my humble abode, I removed such foam plugs immediately! Thus replacing them with its rubber plug counterpart. The rubber plug has not a single blemish of grime after nearly one month of daily usage....BBBUUUUTTTTT...The sound quality has deteriorated immensely! In attempts to fit them into my ears as properly as possible, I noticed a bit of pain resonating from my ear drum. Seems as though they cause my ears to become more sensitive, while canceling out much less noise than its foam associate. The quality of the bass has been cut in half-if not more, which makes it difficult for me to truly enjoy my music without the full sound experience I am entitled to receive. Sometimes they make my ears sweat too, causing severe discomfort. I think the plug covers should be sold separately.

5.0 out of 5 stars No one knows I'm listening to audio while working
I work in a plastic factory during 12 hour shifts or not allowed to listen to to music. I used to get by by day dreaming all night but I can't do that all the time. So listening to music Podcast or audio books helps pass the time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Left ear bud don’t work !
Left ear bud don’t work ! First pair I bought work great for the 5 months I had them ! 2nd pair trash 🙄

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for what they are, get the guardian series.
Great for what they are, they don't have the best sound quality to me, but work great for what they are intended for. Edit 5/21/2018. The guardian series if very nice spend the extra 5 dollars. The problem I have is they have not lasted more than 3 months. I thought it was from unplugging and plugging in, but I got a Bluetooth receiver and havent unplugged it since. But less than 3 months they just stopped on one side. 1/2020, I got my last pair in July of last year, still love the Guardian sets. Only thing I can think of, maybe thicker connections? But honestly I don't mind 6 months life span because that's the only reason I can tolerate my job... Thanks!!!

Ordered a second pair the next day, ordered this and the sena headphonea adapters for my full face motorcycle helmet. I previously purchased nonoise ear plugs and they worked well with my sena's for music, but my wife and I couldn't hear each other with intercoms, so I ordered the adapter and a set of these, for our purpose this was perfect. I use the ribbed silicone and am very satisfied. Downside is they really block all noise, you cannot hear outside voices as you would with HiFi earplugs, I haven't tried enabling sidetone, which might satisfy this 'need'

Very surprised! They sound great, definitely for the price. Don't expect deep base, but there is some. Very clear and cancels out the noise around you. Low tech that is above a lot of the high tech and costly devices out there. Will update after my next roadtrip on the Harley. Pretty sure I will have good results there too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for work. Looks like earplugs and plays music.

Extremely happy with these. I'm using them with my cardo com system and they fit like a glove while wearing a helmet. The sound quality is very impressive. Only thing I regret is not ordering them sooner.

5.0 out of 5 stars My husband loves these!
I ordered these to replace a shipment from TREBLAB that never showed up. Worked out for the best because my husband loves these. Plugfone makes a great product, TREBLAB I couldn't tell you, because their product never showed up.

5.0 out of 5 stars so far so good
Nice quality and replaceable earpieces. Fairly easy to use the small buttons. I only use for listening, but I did try one phone call and that was ok. I ride my motorcycle mostly alone, so these are great to replace my normal earplugs and I can listen to radio or whatever from my phone. And no, they don't prevent you from hearing sirens or your motor etc. Completely safe. I have used them for two multi day road trips, a d I use them when mowing and weed trimming etc, as they work as hearing protection, as long as you use reasonable volumes for your programming. So far after a few months I am still happy with them for my use. They pair easily, and don't drop too often...

5.0 out of 5 stars Love the headphones wish the battery life was longer
Love the headphones wished the battery life was more . Usually have to recharge during my 10 in half shift.

5.0 out of 5 stars Woow Insert Correctly and Woow
I was really impressed by this. As long as you insert foam correctly in the ear. They sound great ! for only this Price 5 Stars! i Love headphones i spend money on Beats, Bose, ect. Of course they do not sound like expensive headphones but they do not sound distorted and they do not stay behind in my opinion.. Great Product . 5 Stars

4.0 out of 5 stars Works great to hide your wearing ear buds but volume is low
Looks like your wearing ear plugs instead of ear buds volume is low but are great for work if you can't wear ear buds. battery life is about 6 hour. A little pricey but does what it says

5.0 out of 5 stars These are great. Easy to sleep in and I can listen to music to go to sleep.
These are the best ear phones and also pretty great as ear plugs. Many earbuds don't stay in my ears and they're hard and uncomfortable. These are the only ones that really work for me. I can sleep in them too. It's important to clean them with alcohol after using.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you have restless nights or insomnia, BUY THESE NOW!!!!
I originally purchased these for the same reasons as most....to listen to music at work without getting caught because the look like earplugs! 😂 But after struggling with insomnia, I've used white noise to help me sleep for years. Needless to say, that also included waking up with sore ears from traditional earbuds. So one night, I decided to try these bad boys out and I have NO complaints at all! The noise reduction is perfect to cancel out hubby's roaring snore and also keeps me from damaging eardrum from having it too loud! Not to mention the oooh soooo comfy design! I ordered a second pair in case these break.....just so I would b able to sleep before waiting on the replacement to come in the mail!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for motorcycle full face helmet
First impressions. Will re-review in a few months. These are fantastic on motorcycle with helmet at highway speeds. I searched the World Wide Web for weeks looking for this type of headphones for motorcycle riding. They don’t come out when putting on helmet. The sound is way better than expected. Even have decent enough bass. I don’t need to turn volume up to highest setting. I was really stunned how much ambient sound was being blocked out at speed when securely in ear. One issue I seem to have is pairing. I can’t seem to just turn them on and have them automatically connect to my iPhone. I have to long push from off to re-pair every time and manually connect from Bluetooth settings. Unlike every other speaker or ear buds I use. It’s weird. Maybe I’m doing something wrong. I may be a dumdum. Battery life seems to be as advertised. Some other ratings say they stopped working after a year or something. We shall see. So far, excellent and decent price. Update. Been about 5 or 6 months. Still good. The first set of memory foam tips wore out and broke pretty quickly. Probably from trying to keep them clean. But the plasticy rubbery ones work great too. A little uncomfortable in ear but when riding don’t notice. Still love them.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT headphones for riders
Up until now, I've been using regular earbud type headphones to listen to music while I ride. I figured that they were fine for blocking out a lot of the wind/road noise from riding. After using these Plugfones, I realized how wrong I was. It's almost a night and day difference with these. They block out a LOT of the wind and road noise that the earplugs I've used previously just did not. I've noticed that I don't need to crank up the volume as loud to hear my music now either. They fit really well and are very comfortable. These are my dedicated headphones for riding when I want to listen to music or get GPS through my phone. The only drawback on these is that there is no microphone or inline volume controls. That's not a big deal really, as long as you expect it. Highly recommend these for riders. For the record, my combo is: '16 XSR900 with full exhaust and HJC RPHA 11 Pro helmet

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for riding motorcycle
I just wish it came with more foam tips because they get dirty quickly

5.0 out of 5 stars Great noise canceling and sound quality.
The sound quality is great even in high noise areas. They are comfortable for long wear times and the battery life is great at about 12 hours after being properly charged.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best Invention Ever
They definitely sound better then their corded model. Battery lasts forever too which is awesome. Only problem I had with mine was one of the buds came apart when I first got it. I pushed it back together cause I didn't want to go through that hassle of returning it and so far so good it's held up fine. Honestly with safety oriented jobs sites these things have changed my life. God forbid safety sees you wearing headphones but they absolutely love it when you have hearing protection in!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not terrible
They work pretty good. My biggest complaint is the noise cancellation. I work in a loud factory and when I have these in I can't hear people right next to me talking to me, but can hear the radio playing from across the giant building I'm working in, weird. The sound quality isn't terrible but is a little lacking in bass. As far as battery life goes it works good for an 8 to 10 hour shift no issues, but once it says battery is low it shuts off a couple minutes later and says it still has 20% battery life left.

5.0 out of 5 stars They look the part! Will work with iPhone w/BT Adaptor.
If you need tunes where you shouldn’t have them (you know who you are) and want the exact look of “ear plugs” with the bonus of having them as well as your tunes....then this is your product. There is plenty of cord length to run down the back of your shirt to conceal that extra length. I only dinged this product by the loss of one star due to having experienced high end Bluetooth earbuds. But honestly for what you are getting it is a nice sound quality. I recommend the Bluetooth adapter which can be plugged into them to work with iPhone whom doesn’t have a headphone jack.

Absolutely worth the money. I work in a repair shop that is a very hard place for earbuds to be in. These have held up wonderfully for the 9 months I've had them. Great battery life make it through a full shift on a charge and then some. I will definitely buy again when. These finally stop working.

I bought these to wear while driving my UTV. I am able to plug into the audio out of my trail radio and can hear it just fine. I've recommended these to others I ride with. The audio is good and the noise canceling is good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly Recommend
I bought a pair of these back in 2016 or 2017 and loved them. I drive a forklift in a factory and the little paper that comes with them rate them for 26 Decibels. OSHA fined my company for a noise violation in 2018 and we were required to build sound proof (resistant) walls around certain machinary to knock the noise pollution down and we were required to were earbuds AND ear muffs as well until the walls were produced. I only ever wore these headphones and I couldn't ear much of anything. They for sure work well. The audio quality that comes through is clear and great quality. As far as the durability goes, I get them caught on the forklift straps and controls fairly often and get them ripped out of my ears and I just ordered a second pair of these a few days ago. They last for ever. Mine finally gave out after a little over 3 years right around where you plug it into the phone jack. More than likely where I sit on that portion of the wire and rub it constantly where im getting on and off the truck during 12 hour shifts. I 100% recommend these for anyone who wants a set of noise cancelling headphones. No need to buy $300 head phones to cancel out noise when these work amazing.

5.0 out of 5 stars I just clean them with safety glasses cleaner at the end of the day and they're good to go
Works as advertised. I use these to listen to audiobooks while at work on a construction site with a Jumbl bluetooth adapter. I've been using them for about a week with the silicone ear pieces. They block out the noise from a metal cutting chop saw just as well as a normal pair of re-useable silicone ear plugs. I just clean them with safety glasses cleaner at the end of the day and they're good to go. Sound quality is suprisingly good after reading some of the other reviews, but I don't exactly need perfect quality for an audiobook. So far I have nothing bad to say about these.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very discrete, could not be happier with these
These have worked great for a month now, sound quality seems just as good as other standard ear buds. Actually I'd say they're easier to hear(especially in loud environments) because they fit snug in your ear. I work in a plant where earplugs are mandatory and personal listening devices are forbidden, with the cord running down the back of my shirt into my Galaxy S5 in my front pocket no ones the wiser. I wear these working around 15+ automatic table saws and don't even have to turn my phones volume up all the way to listen to siriusxm talk radio(hey now ;)). Regular ear buds would need to be cranked. They seem durable enough so far but I'm here to buy a back up pair just in case. Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!!! Best idea ever!
***Edit*** I just purchased my 3rd set of these. Why 3? Because I use these 8 hours a day, 5-6 days a week. Each set has lasted approximately 1 year. I would say that is a remarkable amount of time. Face it, that is more use than most earbuds receive. They look and work just like the hearing protection provided by my place of employment, but these are earbuds, as well. I have tried other earbud options (while waiting to receive my new plugfones), and have never found anything of this quality. They really do block the ambient noise of a manufacturing plant. As far as my original assessment of comfort, I got used to them. Besides, since other earbuds are not hearing protection, the noise of the plant hurts my ears if I try to use those other ones. These are by far, the best idea! EVER!! 🙂 ***end edit*** The new design is not as comfortable as the old one. However, it is easier to replace the foam and or silicone pieces than before. Still a wonderful find.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not terrible. Good for work.
Battery life isn't terrible. Sound quality isnt the greatest. They do seem kind of cheap. But for the price, it's a decent deal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for motorcycle riders.
Good ear plug with excellent noise reduction. Good sound quality and volume. I ride a motorcycle on the highway with these in and the wind noise is very low while my music and audio books are loud and clear. My volume is not even all the way up. The only complaint is that their girth makes them difficult to insert compared with any other ear plug I have ever used. And once inserted, putting on a full face helmet can pull them out. I would buy these again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Incognito!
I mean these aren’t beats or anything but they definitely get the job done and help me through my long shifts at night. No one even questions my ear plugs! One side shorted out a week in but I’m almost 2 months in with them and the one side working actually isn’t bad since I have to hear my work radio anyways

I bought these in May 2016. I've used them under a motorcycle helmet and they worked well, though they got pulled out of my ears when taking off the helmet. I wear them while mowing or edging the lawn, though again, sometimes they get caught and ripped out of my ears. I keep them wrapped up in my purse with no bag and pretty often the buds come off the wire. I've also used them underneath ear-muffs while wood working. I've found that "bed phones" work far better for this because they're flat and bluetooth. Now, one of the ears has stopped transmitting sound unless I hold the wire in a very specific way. I was just going to switch to regular headphones because I use bedphones for most everything now (and they're bluetooth). But when I remembered that I use them for lawn work, there's not really another option. I'll search for a bluetooth version of these in the spring.

5.0 out of 5 stars READ BEFORE BUYING/RETURNING
I almost gave this product one star, until I figured out how they work… there are no instructions that come with this product. You might be saying, “why do you need instructions for earplugs?“. This is why… When you open the box, it has the cord which goes around your neck, and the 2 sets of ear plugs are separate and come in little plastic bags. There are two types, one is for full protection, and one is for partial protection. If you want to know which ones do what, just look at picture on the cover of the box. Easy enough… Now for the warning… I own a tree removal company and I am around very loud noises all day, so I bought these because I liked the idea of the attached cord to secure the earplugs so I could easily take them in and out without having to screw around with holding them or putting them in my pocket all the time when not in use. So I bought these specifically for the full protection set since I am around pretty extreme amounts of noise. When I went to put the plugs into the cord they were slipping in and out so easily that they were completely ineffective, and offered almost no sound protection. So as I was putting them back in the box to return them, I decided to try out the partial protection earplugs to see if those worked better. They did, and this is why…. What they don’t tell you, since they don’t provide instructions, is that there is another piece besides the plugs and the cord which secures the plugs to the cord and offers most of the sound protection. When you open the box, this piece has been pre-installed into the partial protection plugs, but not the full protection plugs. Once I figure this out and pulled the partial protection plugs off of this piece and installed the full protection plugs, they worked great. I love them. That being said, all of this could’ve been solved with a simple paper insert explaining this. Since the plugs are so good, I don’t want to give them anything less than five stars, so that’s why I am writing instructions on their behalf… I hope they read this review and start putting instructions in the box, otherwise they are going to get about half of their products returned if people happen to try the full protection plugs first. Perhaps they just forgot to put the instructions in my box, and that’s certainly possible, but just in case they all come like this, I hope this review helps.

5.0 out of 5 stars Five Stars
Great sound, even the bass kinda suprised me, super comfortable and great while working in a machine shop.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great noise reduction, okay sound quality
Works great to reduce noise. However the sound quality is rather poor. You also really need to crank up the volume to hear anything around noisy or loud equipment.

4.0 out of 5 stars life/work changing, but I have one BIG issue
I love these ear plug headphones. However, this is my third pair in a year and a half. I wear them everyday so I get a lot of use, but paying $30 roughly every 6 months is getting old. These earplugs allow me to listen to audiobooks, music, and even TV at work. With amazon prime you can download shows directly to your phone so you can watch them offline later. I have watched HOURS and HOURS of TV with these earplugs. Well mostly listen, but some watching. I bought a Bluetooth receiver and run the plugfone wires down my back inside my shirt with it plugged into my Bluetooth receiver and the receiver in my back pocket so everything is hidden from everyone else. I am an aircraft sheet metal mechanic( I repair airplanes). I actually work harder because I am not goofing off somewhere else and I can work while I listen and glance over at the phone. That's what I enjoy about them but there are some issues I have with them as well. The earplug portion of the plugs are fairly decent at blocking the sound but they are not quite as good as real earplugs. Since the plastic speaker goes deep into the foam, as it must, it makes it difficult to push deep into your ear. My biggest problem with them though would be that I am having to buy new ones every 6 months because one side will short out and quit working or worse start working intermediately. That's a lot of money on earplugs! Like I said though I wear them a lot, 5 days a week, 8 hours or more a day. You have to decide if it is worth it for you. Other than that they sound great and are plenty loud for my shop which can get very loud!

5.0 out of 5 stars I waited my whole life...
What's not to like? They are exactly like the earplugs people wear at my job. They keep outside noise out! Which is a good thing if your job is loud and you can rock out while your working. Dying laughing the whole time. Just dont tell anyone... It's your secret If you are looking for like super bad ass sound quality they are a 20 $pair of headphones it's awesome they play music ... be cool if they made an upgraded version for it ... I'd pay more but then again they are for work and I will probably just break em. These have lasted all summer. And I work a really intense job so... two thumbs up

4.0 out of 5 stars i love these things
first they have better prices and deals on the plugfones website. Ok, so these things for the most part are great. i work on a ship in an engine room which requires hearing protection at all times. these things for their price were very clear and good to use. i was so excited to discover that they were clear enough to listen to audio books while standing next to a 4000HP engine. Also i would wear them for relaxing use too. they are essentially and economical sound canceling. both the airplane and the ship these are perfect for tuning out the world. Now they did not last. I wore these things 8hrs/days every day whether listening my ipod or not. after 2 weeks i broke the headphone jack but in its defence i clocked my iphone VERY hard and knew it broke before looking at it and was very hapy to see the headphones broken and not the phone. i solder a new headphone jack to them and they worked great for another week, and one side went out. a week later the other side went out. i took the speakers out of he plugs and one the speaker popped off of the backing and the other the wires pulled out of their solders. i atepmted repair but that was too much for me. Now that said that pair had a sennheiser logo on the headphone jack and these new ones do not so i assume those were older models. Frankly though for the price of 14$ each i am very happy to have got the use out of them i did. I just purchased 3 more pairs. Quick FYI for those Not familiar with silicone PLUGS. I know it sounds gross and at first it is but you get used to it. Lick them before you put them in. If they ever feel uncomfortable take them out lick them and put them back. Otherwise it is like using a condom without lubrication. dont hurt those ears!

I work in a cabinetry plant this isn’t quite as good as the earplugs they provide but they’re the next best thing better since they have music. I will say the first version I had sounded better but had less battery life. Comparing old to new I did prefer things about the old one that the this model doesn’t have. For instance the old model would tell you your battery level when you turned them on also would notify you more then once before shutdown. Overall if you work for nazis that don’t like music these are a solid fix to that issue just color in the blinker!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not perfect, but far exceeded expectations.
For the price, I didn't expect much from these headphones, at all. I was pleasantly surprised though. The sound quality is not great, but it's also good enough that after a few minutes of listening you somewhat stop paying attention to the imperfection; I've paid far more for worse sound, without the outside noise reduction. I wear them while I mow, and they work, plain and simple. These could likely be improved with better speaker tech and some additional insulation against outside noise, but they do they job and I would definitely buy them again if I had to do it over again.

5.0 out of 5 stars These are a LIFESAVER
I work long work shifts, standing, listening to the constant, repetitive THUMP THUMP HISSSSSS THUMP of the machine…. Not sure why jobs have a vendetta against just having ANY kind of music playing on a radio (one job I had did this, production was great- when they took them out because some nut changed the station), it’s been downhill since. Now these earbuds aren’t bass heavy (very tinny) but heck it’s WAY BETTER than hearing the machine or yapping coworkers talk about how many kids they have or their questionable rap career. They look just like the job issued freebies. If there was to be an improvement to the design, I would say where the two buds connect, they could’ve made a faux clip, making it look like you have these clipped to your shirt. As is they just “disappear” into my shirt. Also you can still hear alarms, and such as you would with regular ear protection earbuds. And these do protect your ears from loud sounds irregardless.

I have small ear canals, which makes finding anything to cancel noise or for music hard! These earplugs are fantastic. They block loud sounds so they’re perfect for the range. They actually fit in my narrow ear canals with no issues. There is a bigger size for those with normal ear canals as well. The quality is very durable, made strong and feels like it will last long term. The pouch case is also very well made. 5 stars

4.0 out of 5 stars Need to b made for updated phones
Need to be updated to 2022 connections

5.0 out of 5 stars If you work in a factory, trust me, these are what you want
Great bass and sound. No complaints so far at all. It does exactly what the maker defines. Disguises as earplugs, noise cancellation is great. I'm in and out of a factory all day, yes I hear various noises, but it's perfect for the price and provides exactly what I need to "wear earplugs" PPO, and enjoy music while I'm in a factory. Also they are comfortable. If you wear earplugs all day, you will not have any complaints. If you're not used to wearing earplugs, I can see the discomfort.

5.0 out of 5 stars work even after being washed
this comes with 2 pair, one charging case, different ear fit pieces (triple layer are the best) they took a minute to get used to. you can volume up and down in them and voice control your phone, skip songs, answer calls all that. they each have a touch button on the exterior built into the earpiece so doesn't take up extra room. get loud and block out a lot of noise depending on the inner ear piece you're wearing (I only use the big one) mowed the lawn wearing them, put them in my pocket, forgot and washed my shorts! I sat them on the hood of my car to dry and they still work perfect!! nice to have 2 pair and they hook up separately so they can be used at the same time by different or same device. (only some devices support 2 headphones hooked up at once) HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! GREAT HEADPHONES! SUPER TOUGH!

4.0 out of 5 stars Does what's intended.
I was sceptic of these headphones when I first purchased them. After using them all day for a few days I feel that it is an okay time to write a review. The headphones work as intended. It is a noise cancelation ear bud combo. Most people looking at these probably work somewhere hearing protection is required/recommended and music isn't. This set of ear phones works for that. They are incognito and look just like normal ear plugs, but they play music. I have walked around the floor with these non stop and nobody batted an eye. So as far as that goes A+. The noise cancelation is more than adequate. I have machines running close to 100 db. I need to hear when it stops but also don't want my ear drums to explode. They get an A for that as well. Won't completely isolate noise but do good. When music is playing at around half way almost all noise is gone. For this reason I usually keep them pretty low, in case someone needs to get my attention or I need to tend to the machine. If I turn the volume all the way up on them I probably wouldn't be able to hear a jackhammer 3 feet from me. With that being said you aren't going to have beats quality as far as the sound. They are equivalent to a 20$ pair of headphones. Not too bad but nothing great, but I wasn't looking for supreme sound when I bought them, I was looking for something that cut down the noise and allowed me to listen to music inconspicuously. If this describes your situation you are in luck. Also I have purchased multiple corded headphones from the same company. I liked the concept and was on my way to write a review about wishing there was a bluetooth option when I found this. Trust me, it is worth the extra 25 dollars to upgrade to these. Final pro to this set of ear buds, they have a counterweight on the other end. I wasn't sure what it was for initially but after wearing them a bit I realized what it was. I have used bluetooth head phones before and the biggest issue is that the mic/charging portion always weighs down the other end. The counterweight prevents this and a great thought on the manufacturer's end. A If these last 3 months they are worth it in my eyes. Anything more is a win.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth it, buy these!
Works very well for using as an ear plug. Sound quality is a little to be desired, but truthfully it’s worth the sacrifice. Battery longevity is amazing. Have never run out of battery life yet, even using for 9 hours almost steadily. Having a dual weight distribution keeps them centered all day. I have already purchased multiple pairs just in case! Definitely a must buy if you need earplugs and want music/podcasts/books while you work. Works very well for phone calls also. Have used with helmet on a motorcycle and also work well. Enjoy them!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Required Safety Equipment
These ear plug / ear buds worked great, the safety people thought they were just reusable ear plugs in a place earbuds were forbidden. Well worth the money and they lasted me 5 months until one side started to die. If your just buying cheap earbuds don’t do it but if your getting around safety protocol and trying to stay sane at work they are well worth the money however long they last.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for under motorcycle helmet. Comfy. Sound is kind so don’t expect high fidelity
Comfortable. Charge fast and the battery lasts a long time. They look like industrial earplugs not music earbuds which is good. No one can tell you are listening to music. The negative is the sound quality is very poor. I had these same headphones I bought several years ago. They still work. And the sound was way better to on the old model. Way better. But these are okay for being able to listen to music vs just plain earplugs. I use them when riding my motorcycle. They are comfortable and perfect for riding.

I love these things. I listen to music or podcasts all day while I'm at work. If the supervisor sees me, he just thinks I'm wearing earplugs. As other reviews have pointed out, they're not the most durable pair of headphones. My first pair lasted about 3 months and I quickly ordered a new pair. As far as I'm concerned, if you're going to be using these 30-40 hours every week, they're worth every penny even if they do wear out. They make the work day go by faster and help you keep your sanity while doing boring and repetitive tasks. I'm glad they exist. I was actually pondering how I could make a pair of my own before I googled and saw that somebody already makes them. I recommend getting a little bluetooth receiver to stick in your back pocket and running the cord underneath your shirt. Helps keep it discreet, and you can quickly whip out your phone if you want to skip to another track, etc. and not have to worry about being tethered to a line.

4.0 out of 5 stars Don’t waste your money...sound cuts out shortly after purchase!
I bought these for a Christmas gift and my son-in-law used them at work several times and just recently told me the one side stopped any sound coming out of it. Now, I know I only paid $35 for them but honestly, don’t you think they could have lasted a year? I DONT recommend these at all ....a waste of money! I suggest paying $220 on a set that’s made by a Better company!

Great but need instructions
I have to do yard work which includes a chainsaw. It is much trial and error with these as there are no instructions provided. Once the are figured out they are amazing. To the manufacturer: PLEASE PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing expensive ear plugs
The rolls Royce of ear plugs. It comes with 2 sets of ear plugs, one for full protection with interchangeable comfortable plugs and one that filters out partial noise for concerts. Brilliant! Everything is as shown on box, no need to cut down more trees for a piece of paper with instructions. It's not hard to figure out the strap is for attaching to the plugs so you don't lose them. And a little pouch to keep everything in.

We have a farm and feedlot operation. My husband needed hearing protection and earbuds. These were literally half the price that the local store wanted but the exact brand and quality. He wears these in the shop to listen to talk radio and while grinding hay. The battery has a long life and so far they have held up to all the dirt and abuse he gives them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect fit!!!
This item is exactly what I was expecting!! I can jam or listen to podcast all through my shift confident that no one will bother me about headphones

4.0 out of 5 stars A little light on bass but not as fragile as the Liberator series
It is a much better build than the liberator. The mic is built into the controls which was a major problem with the liberator because it stuck out like a sore thumb for people trying to hide that they are using headphones (also the mic is the first place for the Liberators to fail). Unfortunately the sound quality of these are not as good. The bass is lacking but for people who work in noisy environments, this is really the only choice except for bone conduction headphones which sound even worst than these. They are decent and worth the $50 price. The Liberators are too fragile for the $99, these are much more hearty.

4.0 out of 5 stars Look like earplugs, sound like earbuds, delivers whats promised.
I got these for low profile listening at work where plugs are required and buds are not allowed on the floor. So far so good. No one has noticed or said anything. If this is the use case you are looking for, these will probably work. You should know that 1. There is a yoke where the left and right "cords" join. This looks like what it is and would be obvious to anyone looking for shenanigans. 2. The cord is much much longer than any earplug cords ive ever seen. So as long as you can keep that from being seen, bobs your uncle. As to the sound quality, gotta say its really not bad. I have a pair of basic skullcandy buds that sound about the same and cost similar. So the price is about right for the sound quality. The bonus with these is that they retain a Noise Reduction Rating, which basically functions as noise cancellation, just passive and not active. Its pretty good about as good as the work supplied earplugs. Cant really complain for the most part. The build quality does feel about like it should for sub $20 earbuds. That is to say that its not top notch material, and its not gonna be a product sith a life span in years if its used regularly. At the price if i have to buy them 2 or three times a year because im rough on them, then to be able to have something to listen to 12 hrs a day, thats worth the price. This is one of their basic sets, they have higher quality ones with better build for a higher price but they dont really qualify as low profile as much as these do. Comfort, They are really comfortable. I work 12 hrs wearing them and they dont really bother my ears much. They are really soft. Theres a tendency to try to screw them in or twist them when inserting, I reccomend against this, it will drive them in but they tend to work their way back out some when you do it, which reduces the ear protection they offer. I dont want to damage my hearing, i just want music or talk during my otherwise overhelmingly noisy and boring day. They will pull out pretty easy if snagged or tugged on, so keep cord management in mind. Great purchase for the reason i got them. I turn the volume down really low, still hear about as much as i could with regular earplugs in and still have ear protection. Ticks all the boxes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good headphones for the money you pay
This is my third pair of these headphones they are good quality for the money you pay and I work in them and I do strenuous work so they do get wear and tear and eventually one of the ears will go out after about three months or so and I just order another pair

5.0 out of 5 stars they stay in when you put your helmet on.
I was concerned that my very tight helmet would rip these out when I put it on. No worries. They stay in, they do a good job of playing music while I ride. I don't need to crank the volume up while riding. What I can comfortably hear while standing still works fine while moving on the bike. The helmet actually smashes them more into your ears, so they become slightly louder when worn under your helmet.

4.0 out of 5 stars Motorcycle Riders
These are great for riding motorcycles only down side is that the ear plugs might not fit you well if you have lil ears, would be cool if they was a lil louder but they are clear when you ride and stay in place I only used them three times so far will do an update if they break or anything in the near future but if you been look for good sound quality while riding this have been the best solution so far and trust me I spent thousands to find the perfect solution and other down side you might get a full 6 hours of listening time so get two pair if you ride far, the quality could also be better more rugged

5.0 out of 5 stars No idea how people cant get these to last a while.
Ok Ive had my pair for almost a year (You purchased this item on April 20, 2018.), still work no damage and Im not gentle with them, I work with heat and welding metal all day long. My only disapproval is is the battery life which states 12, at first it did last up to 15 but over the past years its continuously dropped to around a little less then 8. Also there is this weird noise thats like a cd skipping that happens randomly the only way to clear it is to turn them off and turn them back on and reconnect, on one occasion it wouldnt shut off I have to plug it in to get it to reset but tricking it my charging it for 5 second then start then back up, thats happened once so far. I still have the original ear plugs it came with they have seen better days but over all I use then everyday up to 8 hrs a day and 5 days a week. I cant complain cause they have worked well for me. I keep seeing reviews about they break after a month or even a week, what the hell are you people doing with them? Using them as a rope to swing across caverns. My single complaint is the battery life, and being that its been almost a year Im sure its no longer covered under any warranty

4.0 out of 5 stars Good product but has a flaw
They definitely block out the outside noise, sound of music is great through them. Only downside is after a couple months of use one side or the other cuts out. Still block out noise but you get no music sound. Have bought 4 pairs now 3 of the 4 this has happened to the 4th ones I haven’t used yet. This happens to other coworkers as well. These definitely don’t last a long time but do work good for the price

4.0 out of 5 stars Order the black ones, the blue and yellow may be defective.
The product is great, it works well, does what it says. I did have to wait almost 2 months as the first set was faulty, the second set came opened and missing parts, and the third set was fine but that process took forever between shipping back and forth.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bought for use with a racing radio scanner and worked FANTASTIC!
I bought this to try with racing scanner for nascar, its VERY loud there and I was not sure if I could hear the scanner over the noise BUT these worked great. Clear sound. And noise reduction was great.

5.0 out of 5 stars great for factory work
I bought these for my father who works in a metal fabrication factory. (he is still very new to technology but is coming along) I recently got him a ipod so he could listen to his music at our campground(Bluetooth speaker) and then he wanted to be able to listen at work but comply with OSHA. We look around and did not feel comfortable spending $80+ on headphones and they all seemed to have mixed reviews anyways. I got these for him for his birthday and he is in LOVE with them. First pair lasted about 1 year before he got the cord snagged on something and it ripped the cord from the ear bud, he requested to have the same pair as he loved them and work perfect for his environment, he liked trying both types of ear buds that came with it but the foam ones got very dirty very quickly and he prefers the silicone. we love the fact we can replace the silicone part as needed (anyone who works in a metal factory knows its dirty in there) The carry case that comes with them is very nice/sturdy and he likes that he has "storage" for them. Overall these are just awesome and give him freedom to listen to his music anywhere he wants to now! Highly recommend

4.0 out of 5 stars Handy with average sound quality.
These are easy to use and the battery charge lasts a decent amount of time. The sound quality is average but adequate for my needs. I use them primarily for listening to podcasts while working and working out. I like having a backup set that is charged and ready for use. The price point seems a bit high for given the sound quality.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very satisfied, but does wear out free heavy use.
I work in an RV factory and have used my plugfones for about a year. I have had some problems, but the company offers a 90 day guaranteed that has covered issues such as sound only coming from one plug. This seems to be an occasional issue as I read the reviews. I have to constantly remove my plug phones throughout the day to hear people talking to me, as a result my plugfones tend to break after about three months of use. The wire begins to break where it protrudes from the plug after approximately three months of use. I often use super glue or epoxy to extend use another month. However, I have no problem buying three sets a year if I can listen to my iPod while I work.

5.0 out of 5 stars So far, they're great!
I read several bad reviews on these but I have had zero problems with them. It's nice being able to listen to things while I'm working, and no one seems to know the difference between these and the disposable plugs! I'd say they are worth the money. Sounds quality is as good as some name brand earbuds I've used. Just make sure the speaker is well inserted in the earplug body and they're great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice idea
I’m not sure if I am just to hard on these but the sound on the one side is like a whisper. Plugs are hard to keep in. I just ordered the plugfone that is one step better. Hopefully they will last longer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Looks like earplugs
I used these at work. Cut a small hole in the liner of my pocket and ran it under my shirt. Nobody could tell and helped me to enjoy my job more. Why jobs don't want you to enjoy your work makes no since to me. Especially since these are more noise cancelling than the earplugs they supply you with.

5.0 out of 5 stars great product
these new plugfones are great. my first generation ones had plug problems after about two weeks. these are awesome..the only complaint is that I had to glue the ear bud part on as they kept falling off. And it would be awesome if they came with more than two sets of buds. working in the oil refining industry we see a lot of dirt, grime and chemicals get on our equipment, proper cleaning on a regular basis is necessary. but it would be nice to have a couple sets to swap out too when they get too dirty. but all in all, im very satisfied.

I ride a motorcycle with very loud exhaust, these plugphones 2.0 works great, noise level is down, and i can hear the music with clarity.

Even a Harley with stock pipes is noisy enough to render real high quality sound pointless. But, the sound quality combined with the noise cancellation of plugphones definitely yields a good enough listening experience to improve the pleasure of riding out on the open roads of the High Plains. Make sure it is legal in your state if you are planning to be motoring with these in your ears. You can certainly hear sirens through those noise reduction phones, but you may not be able to convince Johnny Law or The Man of that.

This is my second pair! I lost the first pair. I love these the noise reduction is is outstanding! Sound quality is great. Best part no one knows I’m wearing headphones! Battery lasts up to 10 hours!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not perfect;but acceptable with added muffs for load decibels
I liked the silicone buds much better than the foam ones. The noise canceling was acceptable with the silicone but not the foam.. I even tried using head muffs over the plugs when using a skid loader at full throttle.. I would not use these alone for loud noises.

5.0 out of 5 stars Effective and reasonably priced.
I generally can't stand earbud headphones—they never stay in my ears and aren't comfortable—but about a year ago I discovered Koss Plugs, which have memory foam ear inserts and managed not to fall out as a result. I liked those, but the sound quality wasn't great and eventually they physically wore out and needed to be replaced. I looked around and found these, which are slightly more expensive than the Plugs were, but were well reviewed and had a few features that the Plugs don't: the jack lead isn't angled, so it fits nicely through my iPhone case, there's an inline volume and pause control as well as a microphone (which I've actually never used, so I can't comment on its quality), and they function as real earplugs with a distinct reduction in ambient noise. I spend about an hour every day listening to music on a bus; buses are not known for being the quietest of places, and when I have these headphones in—even with no music playing—my environment is noticeably quieter and much more pleasant for that, and as headphones these sound pretty nice, with more bass than I've come to expect from small drivers. Additional points for unexpected durability: I accidentally washed these headphones once and they still sound fine. My only complaint with them is that besides the microphone there's no obvious indication of left/right, so I actually swapped my left plug with a different colored spare. You can tell which side is which for sure by looking at an embossed marking on the driver, but that's difficult in poor lighting conditions.

4.0 out of 5 stars They’re pretty good
I wear these for work. I use the pugs that came already attached. And they only last two days. Then I used the other pair. They are a little small. But as long as you insert these properly they work well. I work in an extremely loud factory.

I am writing this review 6 months after initially buying them June 6th 2017: Good sound quality, has great clean bass and low-end. I ride a fairly loud cruiser-style motorcycle. They block sound very well, even without music playing they greatly reduce the wind noise at high speeds. They even stay snug in my ears on the highway, and fit comfortably in my full faced helmet. A couple of weeks ago, the left earbud started to cut out and now does not work at all. HOWEVER-- I was very rough on them. They whipped around in the wind everyday commuting to work on my bike, had cord jerked out of jack by catching it with my arm or dropping phone, were carelessly thrown into pockets and backpacks where they got tangled all the time, and even got washed and dried in the laundry last fall. So you pretty much just get what you pay for, only $25 and they last 6 months to maybe a year of very hard daily use. If you take care of your things better or just want something to listen to on the bus or subway, who knows they could last a while.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great piece of gear!
Everything about these are great! I use these on my motorcycle to listen to GPS directions and they work great! A steal at the price!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good enough
I really like them for work. I am a construction worker. Wish the controls were near the ear part and not the plug part

5.0 out of 5 stars Good sound. Not very durable.
The sound quality is good considering the cost of these. I tend to snag these a lot so they'd short out at the connect point. Could be a little more durable. These are very comfortable to wear. I use them at work for an average of 6-8hrs a day. Also nice that a additional set of replacement ear buds come with the package.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as the Pro or Old Models
I use Plugfones for motorcycling and have for at least 5 years. After going through about a set a year of the original Plugfones I finally burned through my supply. I loved the sound quality and fitment on those, but the cords would always pull out from the driver or lose insulation at the Y making at least one not work (and I think causing random button presses on my Packtalk as well). Of course this would always happen in the middle of a long trip, but they were so good it didn't matter. The silicone tips on those were great, and though the driver was a bit big it never interfered with anything. It appears the old version may now be called the "guardian" model and have an increased price. Considering the wind noise and other distractions on a motorcycle I figured sound quality was not as important so I picked up this set this time. As soon as I put them in I could tell there was almost no low-end and very little low-mids. There was a ton of digital noise / high pitched static. It is fairly easy to see that the drivers in these are significantly smaller than the older / other model. Still, I figured it would be OK on the motorcycle at speed. I was wrong. They are OK for communication, but the sound is so tinny that to hear it appropriately sometimes you need to turn it up to the point that it is shrill and painful. They suffice, but not very well in the SQ department. As far as fitment - after just ~5 rides in them they now can cause some irritation and itching in my ear. I'll try to clean them more regularly to see if that helps but that is a ton more maintenance and it does not appear as easy to clean this model since you can't remove the tip. I like that with the smaller driver and higher flexibility there is almost no way for them to interfere with my helmet, but after those ~5 rides I'm finding it is quite hard to get them to insert properly (yes, even when I pull my earlobe down and do a proper insert). Part of this seems to be that there's just not really anything good to push on to get them to seat since the whole unit is so flexible. Overall these are passable and certainly better than helmet speakers sitting outside of earplugs (other than the difficulty getting my helmet on - which applies to all plugfones), but I wish I'd spent extra to get the better version. I see that version has yellow tips now, so I hope they haven't changed from the silicone I knew and loved to a foam similar to this set. All things considered I think a few cents of production upgrades could improve this product significantly, but I wonder if it has been corporatized and / or manufacturing shipped overseas to the lowest bidder. I hope quality improves a bit next time I need to buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is my 8th pair!
I always use these headphones! The only reason that I have to keep getting more is because I rip them at work. They are about 26 dB for NRR and sound just as good as SkullCandy Jibs™ and are very worth it. I recommend tj

Work Well
I got these for my husband who plays music and sometimes likes to go see live bands. He normally uses the disposable type earplugs so these were a step up. He said that these are more comfortable and he feels like he can still hear the music without it being so muffled that it's not appreciable but does not have the ear ringing the next day like he would get with cheaper plugs The only downside to these is the expense and that they are not disposable so you have to be more careful not to lose them. Thanks for reading my review

4.0 out of 5 stars Sound good, had to replace my first pair.
They look just like regular earplugs and actually sound really good. However my first pair broke within only a few weeks. However I contacted the company and they sent me a replacement no questions asked. My current pair is going strong. Would recommend, but be aware it's possible they may not last you very long. But again, they were replaced without issue.

4.0 out of 5 stars Motorcycle earbuds work fine
These work well to listen to audiobooks and music with normal volume levels while commuting on motorcycle using a full helmet. They block out the wind noise and I can listen at about the same levels as when I'm just walking with these in. The audio quality is not great not terrible. It's about what you would expect from headphones at this price. I've had them for about 2 months of commuting 3-5 days a week. They fit well and I don't have any trouble with them coming out while putting on a snug properly fitted full helmet. They haven't broken yet.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good battery
Have great so far. My only complaint is the noise canceling, but I do work in a factory setting.

4.0 out of 5 stars sound is not great but it works okay
sound is not great but it works okay. ear plugs are very bulky too.. hard to fit in ear canal

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth it
Very convincing as ear plugs where ear buds aren't allowed. I wish the cord was about 6 inches longer but it works.

Though I'm still looking for that magically silent sound stage on the open highway with nothing but pure sweet music in my ears, these plugs are the best I've found in the interim. The fidelity isn't terrible. They are about 2/3 as quiet as a full-on foam earplugs. I tried the foam tips first and found them difficult to insert and uncomfortable. Switching to the rubber tips, they were easy to insert, much more comfortable, and to my surprise noticeably quieter. While these plugs didn't entirely silence the wind and engine noise, the music was definitely the primary sound in my ears, and I could hear most of the finer nuances, even at speeds up to 70 MPH. The real beauty of these plugs though is that nothing but flexible wire sticks out of your ears at all, making it easy to get a full-face helmet on and off without so much as budging the plugs from whatever perfect position you arranged them in originally. Tested on a Triumph Bonneville T120 with no windscreen, inside a Shoei RF-1200 helmet, playing RUSH "2112".

4.0 out of 5 stars Good value headphones
These headphones come with two sets of headsets so you are never without your entertainment even in the longest of work days. The charging case is top notch and it brings a sleek carrying case to house the charging case and extra headsets. I also appreciated the extra ear bud tips. The quality of the sound isn’t great. It is lacking Bass. I think it is good value for what you pay, but audiophiles need to stay away.

As plain-old earbuds, these rock. Having started to develop tinnitus, I've started being extremely cautious with my hearing and these allow me to listen to my music and hear the sound very clearly at even the absolute lowest volume. They do a really good job at blocking out mild to moderate noise; however, I hate to say that these did not meet my expectations for louder noises. My work involves me riding around on an old mower for hours on end. I suspect there's something wrong with the muffler, because it is incredibly loud. Before purchasing this product, I would simultaneously wear both foam earplugs (rated at 30 NRR) and an old pair of earmuffs (current NRR unknown) to reduce the noise to a comfortable level. I expected the foam plugfones (rated here at 29 NRR) to perform comparably underneath my earmuffs, but they did not block out nearly as much noise as I expected them to. Fortunately, they still work really well at taking the edge off of some of the quieter, but still obnoxious tools, such as the hammer drill, vacuum, or orbital sander. Furthermore, as I previously stated, they're still a really great pair of earbuds in quiet environments where ambient noise might block out some music at extremely low volumes. My only measurable complaint with this product is that the jack is "loose" in my music player. It's not physically noticeable, but I'll be listening to my music and all of a sudden I'll only have sound in one ear. Giving the jack a twist or a bit of a wiggle alleviates the issue and so far I've only noticed it happening once every listening session (usually between 3-6 hours). I have no regrets with this purchase, but if I were to make it again, I would probably see if I could have better luck with a different, similarly-priced product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great
Ordered these for my husband and he likes them. He says they are extremely noise canceling and he only hears what’s coming through the headphones.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love them
These served me well over the years but I have upgraded to the Bluetooth ones. The customer service at plugfone is amazing too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent sound!
I use this product for work; & they work well for what I need them to provide in my work environment!

I am completely satisfied with these. Good enough sound and bass, good volume, great battery life. My favorite bluetooth device to date, as far as work is concerned. I am a self employed carpenter, so holding a phone is a real time suck. The microphone seems to be fairly good at allowing me to keep working, and making noise, while on the phone. Saws and such are still fairly loud on the other end, but tolerable, especially if you are talking to your carpenter buddy! Only possible complaint is it has no clip included to keep it in place. I snarfed one off an old bt device, and keep it clipped to itself below my chin. Works for me... Highly recommend! 53 WEEK UPDATE: So, my left channel cut out at approximately a week after one year. I use them every day. I still like them, and still use them for one ear audio and hearing pro. Disappointed that I could not get them to last longer. My nephew bought a pair upon my recommendation and his died in slightly less time than mine. He also had left channel cut out. I am hesitant to buy another pair, and have to downgrade from 5 stars to 4 because of our shared experience with this product. I would buy another pair in a heartbeat if they came out with a pair that had heavier gauge wire. A nice touch would also be right angle connections at the earbud, to facilitate over ear protection for really loud noise: sometimes the earbuds get pushed on by my earmuffs, which can be quite painful. I still recommend them, I guess 365 or so days of continuous duty is good enough, but the price is a bit tough to swallow.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great product
Good little look-alikes! Used these at my workplace to inconspicuously listen to music. I would use these and run the cord down my shirt to a Bluetooth dongle with a clip that I could clip to my pants. I wear longer shirts to make sure the dongle is covered as I work. Used these for several years, only a really close co-worker has found out when they went to mess with my earplugs. My main complaint is that they’re kind of hard to grip by the base when they’re in my ears. It makes me want to pull them out by the cord, which broke my first set. They made my ears a bit sore using them at first, but I got used to them. Went through 6-8 pairs using them 9 hours a day/5 days a week for about 4 years. Pretty good product overall.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good sound and stealthy
Sound is good, they don't cancel out the sound as good as a normal ear plug, but they will help cut down on shop noise. My personal experience is to buy a Bluetooth receiver on Amazon for $10 and plug the ear buds into it. They are stealthy and do not have all the extra addons so they look like legit chorded ear plugs.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bought August 18, 2018 / Dead January 22, 2021
Are these good headphones? Yes. But I believe they're not completely worth the price. Pretty sure I spent $100 at the time. Sound quality is actually pretty good. Sometimes it appears to be bad but you have to perfectly get it in your ear to get the full range of sound. Constant notification about low battery is annoying. I don't know why that's common. Unnecessary Battery life fell over the course of me owning these which was only 2.25 years. I work a 10 hour shift. At first it would easily have enough power but after a while it would last only about 7 hours before low battery. Finally, it died only 2.25 years after purchase. That's not a long enough life. What I mean by it died is both sound channels stopped working. The headset will "turn on" indicated by the light. But no sound can be heard. The left and first and the right went out 2 weeks later. Shame, think I'll get the plug in ones this time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible purchase, convincing and safe!
I'm not too much of an audiophile, so I don't care that my audio is not perfect, but it is perfect for me. I have yet to get caught using these at my assembly job where ear protection is required and music is banned. These are also excellent at noise cancelling. You will want to adjust the accessibility settings on your phone to move the audio to one side of the earbuds because at a certain volume, you can NOT hear anything whatsoever! I pair these with a bluetooth receiver hidden in my shirt. We are allowed to have bags with us, so I keep my phone in my purse and no one is the wiser. I've actually been told to put them back in as I took them out to talk to someone! The wire is indeed pretty long, but nothing you can't coil up and tape. Highly recommended!

If so then these are for you. I have actually had to tape mine in at times. These however come with two different interchangeable silicone plugs. I have been using the "christmas tree" one as it stays put and seals out distracting outside sounds better then Apple-type ear buds which on me, just hang there. One word of caution, since they can occlude your ear canal, the pressures generated by high volumes have no place to vent so your ear drum can take a beating. This actually happened to me over the years playing electronic drums though very tight occlusive head phones so just be careful! Solid product.

Deadens road/wind noise well for use under a motorcycle helmet but as with normal ear plugs, I can still hear what is going on around me. Great for not getting as tired from constant noise for longer trips and presumably for air travel as well. A tip to keeping the silicone plugs clean is to periodically sort of rolling the plug between your fingers while moving your pinch up the plug in effect squeezing any built up wax out of the plug and ideally, keeping it from being pushed further and further into the tiny tube that runs the sound from the diaphragm through the plug.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for podcasts or audio books
I use these at work to listen to podcasts and audio books but if your plan is to listen to music, I would not recommend these. The bass is just not there. The battery life is pretty good. I've been using these for several months now and I get 10hrs of listen time at about 70-75% volume no problem.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good
The only complaint is the battery low notification is way too frequent, tell me it's low once and I got it, no need to keep saying it every thirty seconds until they die. And the voice notification saying the battery is low is way too long, chime once or twice instead god its so annoying.

For years, I’ve struggled with finding headphones that actually work inside of my full-face motorcycle helmet ... until now. These are without question the only headphones that allow you to hear your music on a bike without having to be so loud that you’re most likely damaging your hearing. Be careful though that you don’t get in the habit of having the volume too loud. Don’t adjust it based on feel. Set a maximum number of bars on your volume setting and don’t go above it. I recommend adjusting the volume before your ride. As these headphones go into the ear, they can also be dangerous to your hearing. I would say that I wear these on my bike sans music as often as with. They still provide much needed decibel reduction from damaging wind roar, and if I get a critical notification on my phone for work, I know to pull over and deal with it. In addition, these are the only headphones I’ve been able to wear while running. Every other pair I’ve ever had fall out after about 50 feet. The only thing is that it is a little weird to lock out the surrounding noise while you run. It can make you feel a bit like you’re under water. Your foot falls and breathing can get a little loud inside your head, if you know what I mean. But they are still the best exercise headphones I’ve ever had. I will say that I have a couple of caveats, hence the 4 stars and not five. First, they are still fairly cheap headphones. My first pair were the executive style and I loved them. But my arm caught the cord once while jogging and pulled the wires right out of the 3.5 mm jack. I’ve read other reviewers say the same thing happened to them. He next pair I tried I found at a local hardware store and they were the orange and blue construction variety. These were completely different quality than the executive. On this pair, every vibration of the cord was sent directly into my ear drum. I hated them and ripped them to pieces in anger in the middle of a run. ? But then I bought another pair of the executive type and all is well again. So, I am $60 in on these cheap earbuds at this point. But obviously the second pair is my own fault. Stick with the executive style and I think you’ll be pleased. Ultimately, these are a niche little product and probably not for everyone. If you care about protecting your hearing though, and you’re comfortable putting earplugs in, these just might be the best headphones you’ve ever owned. Okay, one final thing I’ll say and warning, this is a little gross. But these headphones keep my ears from getting excessive ear wax buildup. Which means, at first, you’re probably going to see a lot of it come out on your ear buds. But over time this gets better and weirdly, using the earbuds is now how I keep my ears clean. So, be prepared for that. I warned you it was going to be gross.

These are perfect to block out machinery noise and still allow you to enjoy music. Are they Bose quality? No however they are the only plugs I’ve found to shut out tractor noise and allow listening to music without the bulk or heat of a headphone set. Allows me to wear a hat to shade from the sun.

Amazing quality, should have bought 2 when I did. Holds charge longer at a lower volume. Great for working at the shop, very discreet if trying to be incognito with these. Connects to android and apple with ease.

5.0 out of 5 stars Work great with motorcycle helmet
Work extremely well. All the benefits of my regular foam earplugs with the addition of Bluetooth. With these I keep the sound at the lowest level, speakers in the same helmet required the volume to be at the highest available setting. Highly recommend

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Happy! Works & Sounds Great!
I was looking foe a stealth bluetooth for mah 10 - 12 job & these work as advertised. Despite the not so great review & that price... I bought these anyway. They work & sound rly good considering their size & the size of the hole the sound goes thru. The signal strength is also good. The foam tips tear rly easy but i just snugged them off carefully & placed the silicone 1s on instead which work & feel better The battey dont quite last that 12 hours i was hoping for but they do last 10 which is still great & better than wut i had b4. These rly are stealthy. i wear wrangler collared shirts everyday so tucking in the 2 black hardware encasements on the string aint no problem. The lights would b a giveaway but i simply put a paper label over it & used a black sharpie to make it dissappear. One cud use a tiny piece of black tape if they wanted to cover the litl blu lite. Ive had my leads & supervisors not say a word to me about these. They hav no clue whatsoever. They just assume its regular earplugs & they technically are... "Wink wink" In all it was worth the price to me for these things. Ive had no problem wutsoever. Wud hav given 5 stars were it not for the battery charge life & that price.... Yea... Its high... But again, worth it!

Much better audio than the previous version (more bass), though the rubber plugs feel like they block less noise now. Still, they're a huge improvement over the last disposable versions. UPDATE: 8/15/2015 One star off because the rubber plugs are useless with this version, even though I would prefer their ease of use for don/doff. The Rubber plugs are not very good for riding. At least for me, above 40mph, the windnoise is so loud, it's uncomfortable. I switched to the foam ones and it's much better! The foam ones are more of a pain to put in, but they work much better. If I had to guess I'd say that the rubber plugs are 15dB and the Foam ones are actually 25dB. Audio is still much better than the last version. If you want to use the rubber ones, you may have to insulate the speaker housing by wrapping it with some double sided tape and shrink tubing, or maybe even some rubber handle dip. Too much surface is exposed and it carries the noise right through the rubber plug's barrier.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excelente sonido
Me parece que el sonido es excelente y el precio no es tan caro para la buena calidad que son

4.0 out of 5 stars 3.75/5
Don’t understand why the button is so close to the aux, and also the foam plugs get dirty super quickly, other than that they work great!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfectly Basic
FINALLY- Simple, foam, noise-blocking earbuds! Fits nicely in my narrow ears, the sound is clear. These are just your basic listening earbuds - perfect for listening to music while moving - the foam really blocks outside sounds and keeps the buds in place. I had an expensive set of foam noise blocking ear buds...wore those out after 5 great years and tried to find new ones...manufacturer stopped making the kind I like. 🙂 I have been searching for over two years, my desk is littered with 'not right' options I have been purchasing with high-hopes. Now I have these, and they are perfect!

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent
These are great wired ear buds. Only thing be nice heavier wire to the buds. Good clear sound. Look just like ear plugs.

5.0 out of 5 stars I use it in the Amazon warehouse.
The best $50 ever spent. Works well to use at Amazon. Discreet as can be. Had direct encounters with managers and they didn’t say crap. Get the orange ones for most discreet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing
They work like magic, and they last the full 10 hours plus a little more and the noise canceling is pretty good, not as good as my AirPods but they work just as good for the price. I work nights, 12 hour shift and even when they die I just use them as ear plugs so I don’t have to hear the machines or pallets being dropped.

Dudes and Dudettes let me tell ya something. If you want some eat phone plugs that work great and sound phenomenal then these are just that. I love em. I have an Indian motorcycle with Loud pipes and don't even have to turn them all the way up. I prefer to listen quietly so I can hear road noise as well and these will either drown road noise out or allow you too hear it if you want. Works great with a half helmet too. Do yourself a favor and get these first. I didn't but if these need up somehow I'll be getting another set. Thanks for making an awesome product that doesn't skip and glitch and sounds great.

4.0 out of 5 stars Work pretty good but not the most durable.
Pretty nice headphones that block a lot of the noise and stay in your ears really well but the remote is down by your pocket and gets snagged on things as your walking around. A busy has a set for when he's racing and he swears by them, they almost block out too much noise.

5.0 out of 5 stars YOU NEED TO BUY THESE EAR PLUGS!
Hearing protection is required at my work. And to have a product that both protects my hearing and provides my personal music is incredible!!! The only reason I gave 3 stars on Durability/Material was because I just received the product today. After work. The test will be tomorrow and then on out. The sound is amazing! For $25! Normally I would expect no low frequencies (bass) from earbuds this small. Ha! Not these bad boys! Excellent tonal range! If your job requires or is aided by hearing protection; this will be the best $25 you'll ever spend!!!!!! Just use common sense when handling these ear plugs! Don't pull from the wires! Either on the plugs themselves or the jack. They'll short eventually! Get your money out of them and rock it out at work!!!😁😁😁

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth it
I'm on my second pair, they are not meant to last forever folks... I'm a welder, so the fact they even manage to last a week is great! Like I said I'm on my 2nd pair in 6 months. And that's working 10-12 hour shifts 6-7 days a week....I do clean them with alcohol every night just to try and keep them clean. So I'm ok with the price the quality is good plus just to be able to sneak music in is worth it to me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great combination of sound and ear protection.
The sound quality is much better than I anticipated. Also, I was afraid that these wouldn’t stay in well since I have very small ear holes, but these stay put wonderfully!

4.0 out of 5 stars Works well
These are great at work and no one knew I was using them. One downfall was I can't get orange replacement foam pieces except through the company. I did so but the mail person delivered them at the wrong address somi never received them. I'd rather go through amazon as I know they will get it to me.

I use this product at work to listen to music and get in lectures from my college courses. They fool our safety guy all the time he just thinks they’re earplugs and that’s what I bought them for

5.0 out of 5 stars Incognito Mode
Use the headphones everyday with the battery tucked under my tee shirt and the little clip attached to the back of my collar. Nobody has even asked about them because they look and are legit safety rated earplugs...it just so happens these have a little secret lol. Best part, you can pack them deep into the ear and seal out most sound or wear them a little lighter and still hear what's going on around you. Makes my 8/9 hour shift fly by a little easier when I'm listening to stuff. Now at first, I thought it might be distracting but it actually helped my work because I'm focused better. Even if I pause the media they are still solid little earplugs. Battery lasts the whole shift. Your phone may die before these do. Highly recommend if you want to drown out annoying coworkers. 5 star imo. Game changer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Theyre decent.
I enjoy that it comes with different ear pieces, and that the noise cancelation and sound work great. Only downside to them for me is the battery life is only 6-7 hours, and the microphone I always get complaints about when talking to people.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must if u work in a shop or jobsite! Read my review for different versions & more...
This's my 3rd pare of plugfones in the past 6 or 7 years as i abuse the hell out of them at work as a welder. They work fantastic for several reasons. One if your like me and are not allowed to wear headphones at work & work in a place where earplugs are common then these r the only way to go! They have several styles that match several different versions of the 3m brand earplugs (which are the best) so you blend right in at work as the shape, size, and color is a perfect match. It is nice because unlike regular headphones/earphones Plugfones also work how they look, as actual earplugs. Which is obviously good for safety reasons but is also great because u can hear your music better using these on a loud jobsite because they actually keep out the surrounding noise as earplugs are designed to do unlike regular headphones/earphones where u have to crank the music louder to drown out the background noise. In all honesty they obviously don't sound as good as a pair of Bose earphones or whatever but alot of that is also because they are actual earplugs so the sound is literally going through a small 1/16" hole. So no matter how fantastic the mini speakers are made they can never sound as good coming through a very tiny hole. Don't get me wrong as they definitely sound good but they are designed for the reasons I listened above. They are an excellent safety version of headphones and they are ideal for anyone that works in a shop or a jobsite. This was my 1st time buying this exact version as these ones have the built in mic with volume controls right on he cord so it can be used to talk on the phone similar to the ones that come with most good phones now. This kind also has replaceable plugs themselves (the actual earplug piece) so u can replace them as they get real dirty, which is definitely worth the extra money compared to the standard version. If you're considering buying some of these but don't wanna spend the money to get these u can also buy what I originally bought my other 2 times which is the basic version. The basic version has no mic, no volume control buttons, and the ear pieces aren't replaceable. So if u do dirty work like me as a welder then they really need to be cleaned at the end of each day otherwise they get pretty nasty, as I'm sure they would eventually anyhow just from ear crud! While it's obviously not as nice to have to take better care of them due to the ear piece not being replaceable, it is a cheaper version so u can decide how much u really wanna spend on them. Because they do have even better versions still! As of a year or so ago they now also have a Bluetooth version which is just awesome! Those ones are obviously more expensive since they're Bluetooth but are really cool for sure! Those ones just have the connecting cord that goes behind your neck so they look even more like regular earplugs since u don't have the wire dangling down to your phone anymore, which kinda makes it obviously they aren't regular earplugs. If u do get one of the corded versions what I do is I run the cord down inside the back of my shirt so that the cord going into my phone isn't visible to all my bosses (only because we're not allowed to use headphones at my work). I personally prefer the 3m style yellow silicone version with the blue cord as that's what's most common at my work, plus they're really comfortable. But my work carries several types and colors of the 3m corded earplugs and Plugfones actually makes a version to match them all, and they carry whichever u prefer whether the silicone or the foam versions. So these things are definitely worth getting! 👍👍👍

5.0 out of 5 stars Great sound quality
Great sound quality as well as battery life it’s true you really get 12 hrs of music play time I use them all the time at work only thing I wish it didn’t have so many bulky boxes on the cord and that the cord was a little shorter

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this project
They stay charged for a good 11 hours on a full charge, they made it through my work shift and I am quite happy with them and they actually have nice base and sound and I fooled my bosses into thinking they were regular ear plugs

4.0 out of 5 stars They work well as intended
Got these for work, music sounds like trash thru these but audiobooks and podcasts sound great. That's what I wanted them for anyway. They last about 10 hours before they need to be charged. I work in a very loud environment and these do actually reduce the noise very well. I recommend these but just realize if music is your reason they will severely disappoint you, but voice like audible and podcasts sound great.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for the price
UPDATE: So I bought these September 2nd, today is 12/27. Seems like they disconnect more than they did the first couple minutes. No idea if it's phone related or earbud related, but it seems to happen more with one of my pairs than the other. To fix it I have to go to my device to forget the earbuds, and then I have to repair them. Then they're fine. I have two pairs, and between the two they get about 36 hours worth of use per weekend. I always have one charging and the other one in my ears, been that way for 4 months now. So I wear these at work to listen mainly to audiobooks. I work in a machine shop, and I couldn’t tell you the exact decibel level, but I know it’s under OSHAs limit requiring ear plugs, I always wore earplugs anyway. These block out the outside noise nearly as well as earplugs of similar construction when not being used to listen to anything. Sound quality to me isn’t that important. As far as I can tell the quality is pretty good. Easy to pair and the buttons are pretty self explanatory. Now for the negatives. Advertised battery life is 10 hours. I didn’t expect to get the full 10, because that’s just how it is. I get about 7-8 hours on a full charge. It would be able to work my full 12 hour day without a charge in the middle. Fortunately, I just bought a second unit, so I listen till the low battery comes on, then switch it out. The cord doesn’t like to stay in place. The included clip is useless. I found the best way is to rest the cord on the back of my neck and cross the ear plugs in front. Might look dumb, but it works. Those last two are fairly trivial, this last one is the only one that really bugs me. It sometimes disconnects out of nowhere. My phone is in my pocket and all of a sudden my audiobook stops and all I hear is “disconnected”. So I have to turn it off and then back on and it connects right away. It take 30 seconds to a minute to do, and it’s just a pain in the rear if I’m busy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great headphones that stay in your ear
At first ears the sound quality isn't what I'm used to. It's pretty flat and clear with no bass but you can't tell them apart from ear plugs so thats a plus at work. They stay in your ear very very well. I've never had a headphone stay in my ear like this. I started using them while riding my motorcycle and I can actually hear the music over my loud exhaust. And I don't have to keep repositioning them in my ear at highway speeds.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for work!
These are great for my workplace. The silicone tips are changeable and washable, fit even my small ear canals with reasonable comfort, and look like standard issue ear plugs. I don't have a particularly aggressive work routine, and mine are still like new even after hours of wear and tear. I drop the cord down my shirt in the back and tuck it around my side, plugged into a Bluetooth receiver (Jumbl) and that's hidden under my clothes. The sound quality is not as good as some higher end earbuds or even my Bluetooth ear muffs, but they beat the sound of my own thoughts in my head and the dull hisses and noises of machinery. I will say that the bass is pretty good for those who like that. I listen largely to documentaries and some of the more quiet speech occasionally gets lost, but I don't think that's any fault of the ear plugs. My only real complaint is the jack is not reinforced/angled like on the purple 1.0 style. I just know I am going to rip the wiring asunder eventually. I'd also personally like to see 'small' size foam or better yet silicone tips for us with tiny ear canals. Standards fit well enough for me, but others might not be so lucky.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Use While Riding Motorcycle
Excellent noise cancellation you expect from earplugs and I really like the sound quality. They stay in your ear and even with highway speed winds they do not budge. I use them while riding my loud ass harley. The cancellation and speakers work so well together I can't really hear the engine which is what I use to know when to shift, which is a good thing. That was what was going to make me deaf. They aren't Beats but Beats aren't practical for what I use them for. I recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for church musicians and worship leaders!
I bought these to use as a musician in a worship setting. The church uses click track systems and in-ear monitors, and I wear a battery pack that I plug earbuds into. I wondered if there was such a thing as earbuds with hearing protection, and I officially found them here! I am glad to be protecting my ears in an already loud setting, where I can listen to the click track at a safe volume while still being able to hear the rest of the team and keep my hearing along the way. Thank you Plugfones!

5.0 out of 5 stars best two in one product
these are wonderful how they are two in one so I can work to protect my ears and listen to music or podcasts while I work. they are very durable and you change the tips out too. I love these.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sound Quality. Still a good set.
These are a decent set of ear plug/phones. Very discreet. Look exactly like safety plugs when tucked in the back of your shirt. The cord is very long to allow for the control module and battery to hide in the back of your shirt. On that note, The control module and battery seem to be noticeable under a t-shirt but if attention isn’t brought to it, it won’t be noticed by others I don’t think. I noticed them in the mirror but I know it’s there. Someone else may see it and wonder what is slightly bulging from your shirt. Under the right shirt it shouldn’t be noticed. Especially a shop shirt or collared shirt. Sound quality: Gas station speakers The gas station sound quality can be expected considering the goal is to look like safety plugs. I wouldn’t complain if the quality improved considering the price point of $50. I could see these being sold for $39.95 I was hesitant on buying these because of the price point and expecting them to sound like a gas station speaker. I was not disappointed. But since my employer implemented no more earphones and mandatory ear plugs, I wanted to be able to make the appearance of compliance and have my music. Getting the idea from other employees made me look and I found these. Right out of the box they have a great battery life! They still allow for some entertainment to help pass the time. Not too loud to the point of distraction. The highs can be very shrill but nothing that turning the volume down won’t fix. If the sound quality was better I’d give it a 5 stars and be really happy paying $50. I’ll still use them because they get the job done. The boss and suck up hall monitor employees don’t realize they are Bluetooth. For that reason I am pleased. I would still recommend them to others. Just wish the price was lower and the sound quality could be better if at all possible. Update: had these for a couple weeks now and they are still doing great! After playing around with the positioning of the buds I was able to get better sound quality from them. It helps to put them in a little deeper. But not too deep! Still could use a little more bass but giving the nature of the product they sound very nice. They look exactly like safety plugs and raise no awareness from the boss man or what I like to call “hall monitors”. Keep the volume at a level where you can still hear your surroundings. Pause the track with your smart watch if applicable. I still recommend these. I will also say that with the battery pack and control pack on the wires they tend to fall down the back of my shirt creating a tugging on the ears. I have to pull them back up. If they aren’t in my ears then they will fall down my shirt. It comes with a clip to help this situation but I’d have to put the clip so it doesn’t draw attention. So I don’t use it and just deal with the tugging. Still a nice set of phone plugs and they are OSHA compliant!

5.0 out of 5 stars Always a fan.
Been using PlugFones for years now...this is my third pair of the Liberate 2.0's. I wear them all day, every day, so after a couple years or so one of the earbuds will stop working or something, so time for a new pair. Sound quality is good, especially if you're mostly just listening to podcasts or audiobooks. Don't expect these to blow you away listening to music as they're definitely a bit thin-sounding, but still perfectly usable if you just want some jams while you're working or on a plane or whatever. I used to prefer the silicone tips on older models, but they seem to have improved the shape/design of the foam tips and now I prefer the foams for fit/comfort. Have been and will continue to be a user of PlugFones.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great product, lacking durability
Worked great for a couple weeks, then the buttons quit working.

5.0 out of 5 stars I didn’t expect much, what a satisfying surprise...
I work at a machine shop, I’m historically rough with inexpensive things like these headphones or buds or whatever you want to call them AND I rarely write reviews. These stupid little ear plug fakers are GREAT! Despite the tiny gauge wire which I constantly tug on, they have yet to spark out on me even once! Look, for the price, get a set, can’t beat it!

5.0 out of 5 stars I can mow and listen to a concert on the lowest volume setting.
I have tried other brands, these work and stay in my ears. In addition, I can hear the music very good even on the lowest volume level and still hear changes with my mower engine and deck. While headsets would probably do okay, in the south Texas sun, they would get sweaty and I might not be able to wear my large brim hat. Regardless, I have learned the best way to extend the life of any ear plugs is too clean your ears before use.

4.0 out of 5 stars More discreet than the expensive version of these but less battery 10 hrs
I like the price compared to the pro version but the comfort isint as good as the high end version that I previously bought .. I own the 120 $ pair and these but the expensive versions more comfy in the ear but the lil battery thing on the side of the expensive ones is more noticable then the PC basic pro version and at work i dont like that, so I bought these because they dont have that and it is alot more discreet but the battery life is shorter (10 hrs ) and you cant replace the ear plug/buds so ya have to clean the yit outta them but also they feel weirder in my ears. I like these but I feel like they should add the feature where you can replace the ear bud part or I'd give a 5 star for the discreet aspect of these... my boss had no idea they weren't ear buds

4.0 out of 5 stars great little headphones
Nobody can tell these are headphones. they look like regular ear plugs, I bought a little blue tooth adapter for it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality
I love them lasted me about two years but I work in a pretty rough job and they finally gave out

5.0 out of 5 stars They work for what they need to do but how well they keep noise out? Im not sure??
Not sure how well they keep sound out but anything is better than nothing thats for sure. I think they are going to do the job to cut down on a lot of loud noise especially any that would hurt your hearing and you can listen to some nice music too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good product
I have owned about 3 pair of plug phones....I work in high noise environments on top of welding in these environments. I would recommend these to everyone. The battery life on pervious one would last around 6 hrs, these however last the 12 hrs like advertised. Hearing protection side is good. Most normal earplugs are rated for 32 to 36 db the plug phones I use are rated for 26db and they work great. Very good product for the price

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Wireless Earbuds for the Cost
PROS: Build quality, sound quality, comfort, battery life, ease of use, price. CONS: None OPPORTUNITIES: An app to manage the device with battery-remaining info, sound/equalizer settings, etc. would be a nice addition.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great
Employer doesn’t allow employees to wear headphones these are great for people who need music and need to wear earplugs last about 8 hours. Ordered 2 pair. Kinda hard to clean but other then that absolutely awesome

5.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable and works well
Used for the first time on a noisy factory floor. Kept the sound to a reasonable level and allowed me to hear notifications and voice messages.

So I got these a couple weeks ago and wanted to wait to see how they performed before reviewing.(skip to bottom for quick run down) Let me preface anything I say further with the fact I got these with the intention of wearing them to work in a factory/warehouse setting that requires wearing ear protection in an effort to break up the dullness of work. I listen to audio books exclusively while wearing them for 12 hour shifts 7 days a week. Not one person, regardless of how close they've been to me, had said or indicated they realized what I was wearing. I do tuck the mic and other parts that make it obvious into a hat, but after some easy adjustments I can pause and play or adjust volume by just tapping the button through the hat. Pros: I can verify that it doesn't get a solid 12 hours, but I'd guess it's somewhere in the 9-11 hour range which is still great. Sounds can still be heard even through audio being played but they're not a distraction and I find this to be good as it's safer. I will note I don't have it at max volume so it's possible to drown out all sound. Great range, I'd say around 50 feet it starts cutting in and out, but that's without line of sight for me. Feels durable and charges quickly. Cons: Now this is just my personal thing and should really not influence the average person but I'd prefer it didn't have anything for pause or play or a mic. I'd like to see a discreet version that 100% could be passed off as earplugs for people like me working in factories just wanting to improve work life. The foam on one earplug fell apart but I think it's because I was rolling the foam up to better get into my ear. Luckily they send several pairs. I did order more replacements and would like to see more color variations.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lack of instructions keep a very good product from 5 stars.
I work in the music business and I'm back to going to concerts. Although pre-Covid I had very good custom made in ears, after 2 years of not going to shows, they went from where they were kept for years to "missing" and I don't want to spend $200 plus for a new pair, as I know the day I order the new ones is the day I will find the old ones. As I have started to go to see live music in the past few months, I've tried a variety of inexpensive earplugs, from the very inexpensive foam plugs to the better ones like these and even some with attenuators. Once I figured out the part I needed to properly use the full noise reduction was attached to the partial noise reduction, these worked VERY well for me. They are comfortable to wear, easy to put in and out and the cord makes them great for live shows where I tend to take plugs out when a band is playing so I can speak with people. The noise reduction is very good. Ultimately, these are a good value for the price, but the lack of ANY instructions or guidance is problematic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Block outside sound really well
I wear them in a factory and they cancel the noise really well. I can take a call and be able to hear what someone is saying on the phone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great work remedy... MUST Read This!
Updated... I work in cold temps so I bought a Bluetooth device like TaoTronics Bluetooth AUX Adapter. sewed all in a cap and Bluetooth from a Samsung s5 256gb sd card 20000 songs. Phone ebay $50, and the rest @ $20 inexpensive for a great pc, High powered mp3 player you get from this setup. I don't use this as a phone except Wi-Fi app. Great setup. OLD review follows now- I love these. I did have a problem with the connector shorting out. My fault technically because I move around a lot. But cable build quality is not good. Only if they could make a nylon sheath around cable, this would be the product. Good bass and plugs are comfortable.

5.0 out of 5 stars They last a work day
I love that they have two pairs but one pair will last a 12 hour work day.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cool!
I work in a warehouse where headphones aren’t allowed but I need music to get me through an entire shift. So I searched for some earphones that looked like the ear plugs at work “which I thought I’d have no luck with” but I found these and read a good amount of reviews and decided to try them out for myself. I was skeptical about the sound quality but they sound very good quality to me. It comes with a case that includes different size heads which I love! As well as a comfort neck support that can come off.

4.0 out of 5 stars Just mids and highs no bass (3.5/5)
As a earbud they are cheap and obviously sound quality was not their main focus. But they are convincing for earplugs and feel much better than the typical earplugs they mimic, they “feel” like they give the same amount of noise isolation. They are great for what they are trying to be but man do i wish they had a little more on the lowend.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great!
So far, I am quite impressed. I have tried the ridged pieces. They slip in easily, fit snug, are comfortable, and don't fall out when I put on my modular motorcycle helmet. Going out for a ride soon and will update with the performance. Update. Wow! These are great ear plugs even without the tunes. They do a good job of blocking wind noises. The music came through loud and clear. So loud I had to turn down the volume. I like these much better than helmet speakers or the ones on my bike.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excelente compra!!
