Let’s face it.. sometimes we find ourselves using tools or in situations where we should likely be using earplugs but for one reason or another we don’t. And where in a lot of cases a small exposure to loud sounds might not be detrimental, prolonged exposure or repetitive exposure to loud noise can have long-term negative effects on your hearing. Our goal here at Plugfones is to provide a solution for people to actively protect their hearing while enjoying music or audio. We know that can often be a tradeoff for people, using earplugs means not listening to music and while you are working.. music is nice! But for those who want the quick and dirty on how this works without watching the video.. imagine you’re driving in the car down the road with your windows down, and you want to listen to music, in that case you will need to turn the music up much higher in order to hear the song with all of the loud ambient noise going on in the background right? But if you were to roll your windows up and filter out that sound then you can hear your music at the same level while it is playing at a much lower volume. It’s a lot like that when using regular earbuds in the workplace. All of the workplace noise and sounds that aren’t being lowered means you need to have your audio playing MUCH louder to hear it, thus, putting your hearing at risk with audio that is far too loud for far too long. Plugfones take ambient sound and lower them significantly to filter out harmful background audio allowing you to then listen to audio of your choosing at a volume that is lower and below the harmful range.
